Empowering Youth,

Building Communities

Our Story

For over 35 years, we've been deeply rooted in Winnipeg's North End community, witnessing the profound impact of charitable work. However, amidst these endeavours, there's a glaring need for vocational training and business opportunities.

That’s why in 2020, Inner City Youth Alive initiated a social enterprise to employ local youths – Step Up Construction.

Located at 101 Salter Street, this initiative offers comprehensive training and on-site coaching for participants. We train the next generation of landscaping experts, flooring professionals, electricians, plumbers, roofers, commercial contractors, and much more.

Operational Framework

Under Inner City Youth Alive, Step Up Construction ensures impeccable quality in all projects. By hiring our services, you not only receive an exceptional renovation for your home or business but also support Inner City Youth Alive’s aspirations to help the community through coaching programs.

Through Step Up Construction, you contribute to each member’s holistic development, including math skills, career guidance, safety training, conflict resolution, financial literacy, and cultural awareness.

Our goal is to broaden horizons and redefine aspirations within our community, offering new employment avenues and renewed hope for a brighter future.
